Day Mediterranean Christian Cruise Itinerary
May 21 Depart your preferred home city of Bozeman, Spokane, Seattle or New York or obtain your own airfare to Thessaloniki, Greece.
May 22 Arrive in Thessaloniki. Acts 17:1-3,”Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, ‘This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.'”
We tour the ramparts this afternoon and then have our welcome dinner where we are sure to have a lively discussion.
May 23 We have a beautiful drive to ancient Neapolis. You will see the prison cell where Paul and Silas were held and the ruins of this Early Church site. This is also the city where Lydia first believed! The city is also called Philippi. Acts 16:14-15,  “Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, ‘If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.’ So she persuaded us…”
Adjacent is the city of Kavala. It is a lovely seaside town and bursting with flowers. We will have time to take lunch along the waterfront then return to our hotel in Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight. (BD)
May 24 Drive to Berea, see the Biblically-named synagogue and study the importance of this church. Acts 17:10-11, “Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”  After our time in Berea, we drive on and overnight at a quiet resort near Corinth. (BD)
May 25 Visit Corinth, its pillars and expansive ruins, and most importantly, its Bema! You will see the paved street Erastus paid for himself and the synagogue where Paul worshipped—what a great highlight for our journey! Afterwards, we see the fantastic Corinth Canal. We have a full lunch at Corinth and then drive into Athens. This afternoon, prepare your hearts as we arrive on Mars Hill and then the Parthenon later this afternoon. We overnight in Athens, dinner in the Plaka with a view of the hilltop Acropolis at night. (BLD)
May 26 After a full breakfast, we meet our guide again and have an overview tour of the city of Athens including Olympic Stadium, Hadrian’s Arch and then are taken to the ship for check-in. You will have a wonderful lunch aboard ship and time for fellowship as you sail away from the port of Athens. Your afternoon is free to explore the ship. At 6:00PM this evening, you will arrive on the Greek island of Mykonos. A delicious, included dinner is on your own schedule this evening aboard ship or join us in the main dining room at 8:00PM. You can join the group for a nice meal or relax and take in room service or have barbeque on the outdoor deck. You don’t sail until later, so enjoy Mykonos as much as you like! You can shop, bicycle or scooter around this quaint island in the short amount of time we are visiting. (BLD)
May 27 We arrive at Kusadasi this morning for a full tour of Ephesus – the most magnificent of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Your tour ends with a brief amount of time at the port of Kusadasi. We have lunch aboard and then sail on to the precious Island of Patmos in Greece. You have a tour of the grotto where John received the Book of Revelation. We will discuss the site in detail and its proximity to the Seven Churches themselves and the mystery of how heaven opened up over this quiet place. We sail at 9:00PM. Tonight we have dinner aboard and a private session of worship or teaching. (BLD)
May 28 We arrive at the Greek island of Crete. We have a fantastic tour of the waterfront museum to discuss the apostles’ time on the island and a few of the Biblical mysteries housed at the museum. We re-board the ship for lunch. This afternoon, we arrive at the most beautiful place on earth – Santorini—where a panoramic tour of the island is included. Afterwards, you can enjoy free time: a walk, shopping and amazing vistas from the island. We have a lovely farewell dinner tonight together aboard ship. (BLD)
May 29 Your ship arrives back in the port of Athens, with transfers included to the airport for your specific departures home.

Justin Peters – Itinerant Preacher

Justin peters christian cruise 2017 leader in the footsteps of paul

As an itinerant preacher, Justin is committed to the expositional preaching of God’s Word. Expositional preaching, if done correctly, rightly robs the preacher of any personal agenda he may have. Both the content and direction of the sermon is dictated by the text.

In addition to expositional preaching, Justin also teaches seminars, speaks at Bible conferences across the United States and internationally. The seminar for which he is most known is entitled “Clouds Without Water: A Biblical Critique of the Word-Faith Movement.”

Justin and his wife, Kathy, make their home in Sandpoint, Idaho and are members of Kootenai Community Church. For more information about Justin, his ministry, and how to contact him, visit his website at www.justinpeters.org. For more information about his home church, please visit www.kootenaichurch.org. The trip was so inspirational. I grew spiritually because I was able to see some of the places where Paul spread the gospel.
To see Biblical sites in which Paul ministered as well as see sites of some of the churches of Revelation was an opportunity of a lifetime. The Bible teaching was absolutely outstanding. Of course, being on a sailing ship was delightful as well. I highly recommend a Footsteps of Paul.
I also want to thank you for the prayer time we had together.  That was very special for me and I have no doubt God heard our prayers.
The trip broadened my perspective on Paul’s journeys and the Star Clipper was a wonderful way to travel to the port cities. This was on my “bucket list” for several years until the right itinerary came along (extended to Thessaloniki, Philippi, and Berea), and I was not disappointed!
Great way to vacation and explore the Apostle Paul’s adventures spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
You did a fabulous job and we would love to go with you wherever you conduct other tours.  Please keep us informed of any future tours.
