– Retracing the Exodus Route –
THE EXODUS
Travel to Mount Sinai in Arabia and Egypt and visit its temples and treasures, these archaeological wonders were created by Joseph, the Vizier of Pharaoh and son of Jacob. You’ll witness the archaeological evidence of the Hebrew slaves, the Pyramids of Giza, the Nile River, the crossing site of the Hebrews at the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia, then The Mountain itself—Jabal al-Lawz—with its altars and inscriptions in such a stunning and erudite location. Combine all of that with the camping areas in the Wilderness of Sinai where the Tabernacle was built, Aaron’s Altar to the Golden Calf and the burial ground of its adulterers, the mysterious land of the Amalekites (giants), Rephidim, Horeb, and the Split Rock and the ancient Midianite Biblical history—all supported by inscriptions that prove their existence and the route of the Exodus!
This is an important, Biblically-pertinent adventure of rarely seen places that represent clear evidence of God’s Word and the greatest miracles of all time! The trip traverses the route of Moses, which is one of the most important journeys of all history. Gain an incredible depth of knowledge from the top Egyptian Biblical Archaeologist and the expert leadership of those most familiar with the opening of the Exodus route. Your teaching team has traveled with experts and is the most knowledgeable of the findings within Midian and the areas of Mount Sinai. Rhonda, your leader, has personally led Jewish scholars and Messianic scholars through northwest Saudi Arabia and up through the Transjordan region—which is also known as the West Bank. She is a member of the Mount Sinai Arabia Research Institute.
The expedition starts at $5,879 per person, sharing a double room. This does not include airfare, visas of up to $165 per person, or tips of up to $270 per person. A single or private room (We do match roommates!) is an additional cost of $865. The deposit amount is $900 per person, and the final payment will be due on May 15, 2025. We have an air block from New York/JFK if you have a party of 10, otherwise, we can assist in booking in either Economy or Business Class. The economy class air ticket including the round-trip flights to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia is $1,499 per person. A Business Class upgrade (over the water only) is around $3,600 additional, per-person.
Camping at the Base of the Blackened-top of Mount Sinai!
Looking to take a more adventurous route into the wilderness? Our Saudi Arabia Adventure option offers an alternative path designed for more active tour participants! Our Saudi Arabia overnight camping is designed for the intrepid adventurer. While camping isn’t necessary to see the site of Mount Sinai, Jabal al-Lawz and Jabal Maqla, you WILL need to camp in order to CLIMB Mount Sinai. The optional camping night includes private tents — with a SHARED, mobile bathroom — mobile kitchen, and a large, Arabian tent set-up for teachings and fellowship — all at the base of Mount Sinai.

- Hike, boulder, and climb to the 70 Elders’ Plateau.
- Overnight camping under the summit plateau of Jabal al-Lawz.

Dr. Gayle Timberlake is the Founder and CEO of Simka Foundation. As an accomplished executive life coach, ethnographer and respected Biblical scholar, she is dedicated to unlocking ancient truths so people can get the most out of life.
She holds a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from NWU in South Africa with a focus on the first-century culture and traditions of the earliest Church. Driven by an unwavering passion for the people and places of the Bible, Dr. Gayle has conducted field research in Israel, Greece and Turkey. As part of her doctoral degree from North-West University, she studied at Jerusalem University College, Wycliffe College, Oxford, and Yeshiva University.
With over a decade of experience as a corporate marketing strategist and executive life coach, Dr. Gayle has also been an advocate for Israel on Capitol Hill and served as an NGO board member and Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Her journey includes an appointment as Christian Outreach Director for The Torah Learning Center in San Antonio, in addition to teaching at Trinity Anglican Seminary and the University of the Incarnate Word.
