Travel with Pastor Tim Remington of the Altar Church

Pastor Tim Remington is the Senior Pastor of the Altar Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, which he and his wife Cindy founded over eighteen years ago. His ministry has been shaped by decades of hands-on work, from street ministry in San Bernardino to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Now his life consists of Victim Offender Mediation, Family Mediation, Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Critical counseling, Idaho Character Council, and executive member of the Community Christian Coalition. He is also the Director of Good Samaritan Rehabilitation, a residential recovery program that grew out of the people he and Cindy began taking into their own home in 1985. More than three hundred people have lived as part of their family.

In 2016, Pastor Tim Remington survived a devastating assassination attempt when he was shot six times outside his church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Read more about the details of the event here. Rather than responding with anger, Pastor Tim publicly forgave his attacker, prayed for his salvation, and has continued to write to him while sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
