Family African safari tours visit Waterberg Savannah Biosphere Reserve
Explore Waterberg’s Natural Beauty on African Safari Tours
Our Christian creation tour and African Safari Tour visits Waterberg, the first private game reserve in Africa. Surrounded by the Waterberg mountain range, this pristine, wildlife-rich area is situated in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Waterberg is most well-known for its early protection of the black rhinoceros but has also become known for its breathtaking scenery, including rivers, streams, and swamps that stretch for over 150 kilometers. In addition, the famous Waterberg Savannah biosphere offers a huge diversity of topics for us to explore on our teaching-based creation tour. It is home to over 200 species of birds, many herds of antelope, leopards, elephants, plus well known butterflies and of course the black rhino. Another teaching topic on our African family safari and creation tour comes from San (meaning bushmen) Rock Art, which can spark very compelling fireside talks in the evenings.
See additional wildlife including the sable antelope, kudu (see below), red hartebeest (see below) and over 800 breeding pairs of the eerie Cape Vulture. The Waterberg even became a designated UNESCO designated site. God spoke to Job in Job 39 of the Old Testament, when he told him to consider the beauty of the peacock, the traits of the goats and the courage and stupidity of the ostrich. Scriptures like these provide interesting discussion points as we consider the animals together!
The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, But are her wings and pinions like the kindly storks? 14 For she leaves her eggs on the ground, And warms them in the dust;15 She forgets that a foot may crush them, or that a wild beast may break them.
Job 39:13-15:
