Fox News highlights Living Passages' first faith-based Christian tour group to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has launched its first Christian tour to rare biblical sites, marking a major shift as the kingdom opens its doors to faith-based tourism. Organized by U.S.-based travel company, Living Passages, the tour gives visitors exclusive access to historic locations many believe to be the true Mount Sinai, where the Bible says God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.

Led by biblical scholar and author, Joel Richardson, this unique Christian tour takes travelers through the ancient land of Midian, including Jethro’s Caves, the Split Rock of Horeb, and the highly debated Jebel al-Lawz mountain — believed by some scholars and traditions to be the real Mount Sinai, challenging the traditional site in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.

“This could be one of the most significant new archaeological sites in modern history,” said Richardson, author of Mount Sinai in Arabia: The True Location Revealed. The tour also highlights locations featured in the documentary Finding the Mountain of Moses: The Real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia by Ryan Mauro, who is also planning tours to the region.

Participants will explore a range of biblical and historical sites, including:

  • Ancient well believed to be where Moses met Zipporah, daughter of Jethro

  • Ruins of Dedan, a historic caravan city

  • Wadi Tayyib, a stunning valley along the Red Sea coast

  • Tayma, once visited by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar

  • Split Rock of Horeb
  • Jabal al-Lawz mountain: Mount Sinai

With a group of 25 travelers, this faith-centered journey represents a broader push by Saudi Arabia to promote religious tourism, heritage exploration, and Western-friendly travel. The country recently began issuing tourist visas after decades of limited access, and it continues to invest in tourism infrastructure — from world-class hotels to cultural museums and the futuristic smart city Neom, set to open fully by 2025.

As interest in biblical archaeology tours grows, this groundbreaking experience opens a new chapter for Christian travelers seeking to explore Bible history in Saudi Arabia.
